New track 'MARS' is out today!

Whilst happily recording the new jdays album, I've also been at work with new solo tracks (of course, of course, ... I'm ALWAYS working on new tracks!) So, here's a taste of what I've been up to recently.

'Mars' was written and recorded during the COVID 19 pandemic in April 2021. Hamburg was in complete lockdown at this point. There was a 9 p.m curfew in place which just felt Orwellian and weird. I remember walking home from a recording session at 9.30 p.m wondering if I was going to get arrested for being on the - deserted - streets of my city 30 minutes after curfew hour. It completely freaked me out! I was watching some film images of cities around the world - empty and peopleless - a few days later on TV and thought this is what it must feel like living on Mars. And so, another few days later this song emerged. My drummer, Lars Plogschties recorded his drums in his rehearsal space in Lüneburg, I recorded and mixed the rest in my studio in Hamburg. So, no two people were ever in a room together during the making of this recording, seems appropriate somehow.
