'Covers Three' is here
Today is arts & crafts day!
I'm cooking up some truely tasty, handmade cardboard slipcase CDs of 'Covers Three', which is out and ready to be shipped in my bandcamp store.
Covers Three was recorded over the last year or so, starting in June 2019 if I remember correctly.
Originally, with my next 'Sounds Like Dirk' radio show in mind but also for a future 'album' release, whenever I'd have enough tracks together for that to make sense.
Once again, I'm covering quite a bit of ground here from early Elvis Costello to R.E.M, Nick Drake, The Shirelles, Jackson Browne and many more.
As all of these songs have made some kind of lasting impression on me over the years, there are stories to tell about each and every one of them.
Check out the song specific liner notes for more on that ...
Here's a rundown of all the songs and the respective artists that first recorded them:
World Spins Madly On (The Weepies)
Alison (Elvis Costello)
Northern Sky (Nick Drake)
It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) (REM)
Dancing In The Dark (Bruce Springsteen)
1234 (Feist)
Will You Love Me Tomorrow (The Shirelles)
I Saved The World Today (The Eurythmics)
Ooh La La (The Faces)
These Days (Jackson Browne)
Silver Raven (Gene Clark)
